Fresca Mediterranean is our local, which makes it your local too.

It’s where we go to stock up for the weekend: fresh focaccia, cheese and ham from the deli, maybe with a couple of pizza bases, housemade sauce and mozzarella on the side, all our pasta, olives, and of course sundried tomatoes … Is that something new to try on the counter?

Then we rest from our shopping labours with a coffee and a little something fresh from the cabinet, like a slice of Basque burnt cheesecake, a Portuguese tart or a decadent tiramisu.

Now that we’ve spent far too much time catching up with the Fresca team as well as our fellow regulars, perhaps we’d better put in some productive hours so that we can reward ourselves with lunch and a glass of Prosecco.

But then evenings! It’s such a difficult choice. Kick back with pizza and craft beer outside in the lane? Sit in the window with a quiet aperitivo and a snack? Or maybe sit down for a leisurely Mediterranean meal, not forgetting to observe the fine tradition of sobremesa—that after-dinner conversation on everything and nothing while we let an excellent dinner digest.

We’re so happy to see Fresca become the heart of a little local community, a great place to sit with a cappuccino and a newspaper for a moment of peace, to chat with friends and Fresca’s ever-welcoming crew, or to pass a summer evening with good cheer and good company—and then to take some of that sunshine home in a shopping bag.
